Another Successful Fossil Roadshow! Print

Geoconservation Kent were at this years Fossil Roadshow organised by Canterbury Museums and Galleries which returned to the Beaney on 23rd February 2013 after a break of 2 years.

It was a very successful day with over 1700 visitors. Over 60 children took the quiz on the Geoconservation Kent quiz table, receiving fossil prizes for their efforts.

Other groups and individuals who attended included Medway Fossil and Mineral Society with beautiful fossils from Bishopstone and the London Clay, Sidcup Mineral and Lapidary Society with some lovely minerals, Ian Clarke with some of his fantastic fossils and fossil artwork, The Sheppey Fossil Study Group with their amazing fossils from the London Clay and Chris Wren with his ancient flint hand tools and the bones giant pleistocene beasts from the local area.
